Editor doesn't accept input, cursor disappears, input goes into wrong file tab

This issue is Linux specific and is caused by the JDK bug. Solution is to run IntelliJ IDEA under JDK 1.5.0_05 or later. All the previous JDK versions are affected by this bug.
