ReSharper installation fails with error code 1722

Please follow these steps to avoid the problem:
1. Restart your computer and make sure to turn off any antivirus software
2. Navigate to "\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies" directory and make sure it doesn't contain any assemblies which contain 'ReSharper' word in their names.
