ctrl +w hotkey remapping

Hi

Im using 2008 sp1,4.0 versions

tools->options->hotkeys , applying hotkey for ctrl +w key not working, its always selects text . How to fix that ?

I guess it's about the Keyboard options page. What is the problem with Ctrl+W?

I assume you'd like to assign it to some other action. Possibly, the problem

is that the default (SelectCurrentWord) assignment is for the Text Editor

scope (see the "Use new shortcut in:" combobox), and you're trying to assign

it for the Global scope. Scope-specific bindings take precedence, so, when

in a text editor, the Global binding is ignored. Either the new binding should

be done in the Text Editor scope too, or, if not appropriate, the old binding

should be removed to let the new one from the Global scope take effect.
